Do u are really need ART ( IVF)?
Before starting with extreme steps with Hormones (Gonadotropin therapy) ,Going for ART ( Artificial Reproductive Therapy – IUI and IVF try Ayurveda.
Ayurveda treatment is to normalise ur physiology ,(Regularising ur Monthly cycle , single dominant Follicle forming, rupture in time and having proper Endometrial thickness )checks out possible causes and treat accordingly with help of medicines and Panchakarma.
Ayurveda believes our body should secrete Hormones by itself and not to b taken from outside,

Ovulatory Dysfunction is usually a symptom of an underlying disease process.
Thyroid dysfunction, hyperprolactinemia, and other endocrinopathies  have to be ruled out.
* Current scenario is people are putting the patients very early to Ovulation Induction without extensive counseling of the couple regarding side effects, risks, expenses logistics of treatment and prognosis.
OVARIAN Stimulation drugs –
Gonadotropins extracted developed using recombinant DNA technology have stimulatory effects in the Ovary of anovulatory women for multiple follicular developments.
* Gonadotropin treatment protocol –
Baseline estradiol and TVS Ovarian
Initial therapy by cycle day 3

Individualised / graduated dosage starting at 2 amp per day

Initial estradiol and scan by day 4-5, then every 2-3 days

More frequent estradiol and USG when leading follicle greater then 14mm

10000 units hCG 24 hrs after last gonadotropin dosage.

Supplemental 5000 units hCG 5 days later

IUI 36 hrs after hCG

Serum hCG in 14 days after hCG.

USG 4 weeks after ovulation if pregnant.
Side effects/ Complications-

– Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome
1.OVARIAN Hyperstimulation

Normally, a woman produces one egg per month. Some women who have trouble getting pregnant may be given medicines to help them produce and release eggs.If these medicines stimulate the ovaries too much, the ovaries can become very swollen. Fluid can leak into the belly and chest area. This is called ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). OHSS occurs only after the eggs are released from the ovary (ovulation).
The symptoms of OHSS can range from mild to severe. Most women with the condition have mild symptoms such as:

Abdominal bloating

Mild pain in the abdomen

Weight gain
In rare cases, women can have more serious symptoms, including:

Rapid weight gain (more than 10 pounds in 3 to 5 days)

Severe pain or swelling in the belly area

Decreased urination

Shortness of breath

Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
In rare cases, OHSS can lead to life-threatening complications. These can include:

Blood clots

Kidney failure

Severe electrolyte imbalance

Severe fluid buildup in the abdomen .

Incidence is 3-23% in milder form and about 4% for severe form.
2:Pregnancy Wastage-

There is an increased spontaneous Abortion rate which has been reported to range from 12%  to 31%.
3: Multiple Births-

Incidence of multiple births increases after gonadotropin therapy its around 11% to 44%.
Intension to write this article am not against the world wide practice of ART , its in its own a great research , a hope for a hopeless case but patient selection and authentic practice is missing all pts within a few months of treatment are directly put on IVF and other kinds of ART .
Ayurveda is a great treasure , if trusted and taken treatment from the specialised person can give the Best results without giving future untoward complications .
Even one can Try Womb preparation before going to IVF which will give better outcome.
